Description
The BIODEX NxStep weight-bearing system is designed for early rehabilitation when partial weight-bearing of the patient is required. The dynamic single-point suspension of the NxStep enables pelvic rotation and vertical displacement, which encourages the patient to practice functional gait patterns with proper mechanics.
The BIODEX NxStep weight compensation system allows for full and partial compensation of the patient's weight without compromising proper gait kinematics. When pelvic stabilization is necessary, anchoring ropes are provided that can be adjusted to the degree of pelvic rotation.
The unique angled design of the NxStep offers many benefits. Therapists can monitor patients from all angles; patients have a full view of the treadmill screen, and the open design allows for natural hand movements, which are key to enhancing neuroplasticity.
The BIODEX weight-compensating vest is designed to provide vertical lift through three pressure points: hip belts, buttock belts and a lumbo-thoracic vest. It fits securely, supports the patient's weight to the maximum and does not restrict the range of motion of the lower extremities. When performing long-term exercises, comfort is one of the most important factors for the patient.
